2021 Lexus LX: The LX is a full-size luxury SUV that seats 5 or 7 passengers depending on configuration. It is a little unusual in the segment as it offers available side-folding third-row seats, which allow for a lower cargo floor. Changes include Amazon Alexa compatibility, a new Sport package and a limited-production Inspiration Series. Competitors include the Cadillac Escalade, Land Rover Range Rover, Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes-Benz GLS and Volvo XC90.

Sole engine offering is a 5.7-liter V8 that makes 383 horsepower that pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission. All models offer 4-wheel drive with low-range gearing. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 7,000 pounds.

The limited Inspiration Series is available in Black Onyx or White Pearl and adds black chrome grille, smoked headlights, black 21-inch wheels, black semi-aniline leather trim with Rioja Red accents and all-black headliner. Only 500 units will be produced .

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $86,000 to $92,000.
