2021 Honda Pilot: Pilot is a midsize three-row crossover that seats eight passengers and is only offered as a 4-door wagon. Changes for 2021 include the standardization of the 9-speed automatic across the model lineup, a new Special Edition trim level and a few additional features on the base trim. Competitors include the Chevrolet Traverse, Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder, Subaru Ascent and Toyota Highlander.

Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Trim levels include LX, EX, EX-L, Special Edition, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. Sole powertrain is a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 280 horsepower and pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $35,000 to $51,000.
