2020 Mazda CX-9: The Mazda CX-9 gets optional second-row captain chairs for 2020. The CX-9 is a three-row crossover that seats 7 passengers and is only available as a 4-door wagon. Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Dodge Durango, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, and Ford Explorer.

Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Five trims are offered: Sport, Touring, Touring Premium, Grand Touring, and Signature. There is only one engine available: A 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 227 horsepower (250 with premium fuel) and mates to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 3,500 pounds.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $32,000 to $46,000.
