2019 Lexus LC 500: The Lexus LC 500 sees the addition of an all-new convertible variant in 2020. The LC is a luxury sports car that seats 2 or 4 passengers depending on configuration, and is available as a 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible. Competitors include the Audi R8, Mercedes-AMG GT, Jaguar F-Type, and Chevrolet Corvette.
Only rear-wheel-drive is offered. Three trims are available: LC 500, LC 500h, and LC 500 Inspiration Edition. Two different engines are offered: A 5.0-liter V8 that produces 471 horsepower and a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 that produces 354 horsepower. The V8 pairs to a 10-speed automatic transmission while the V6 mates to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The V8 is capable of 0-60 in just 4.4 seconds.
Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $92,000 to $105,000.
