Chevrolet Corvette

2020 Chevrolet Corvette: The long-awaited, first-ever mid-engine Corvette arrives for 2020. Dubbed C8, which stands for the eighth-generation of the famous American sports car born in 1953, the new Corvette moves its engine from the front to the middle to provide better balance and handling dynamics. Though the new ‘Vette is slightly heavier, it sports radical new styling and supercar-like performance. As before the Corvette Stingray seats two passengers and is available as a 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible. Competitors include the Acura NSX, Audi R8, Nissan GT-R, and Porsche 911.

Only rear-wheel drive is offered. Three trims are available: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. Only one engine will be offered at the time of launch: A 6.2-liter V8 that produces 495 horsepower and pairs to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to Chevrolet, the Stingray has a zero to 60 time of 2.8 seconds and can run the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 122 mph.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Pricing starts at $59,995.
