2017 GMC Canyon: The 2017 GMC Canyon is a mid-size pickup truck that shares a platform with the Chevrolet Colorado. It competes with the Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tacoma. For 2017, it gains some new features and a top-end Denali trim.There are three engines available - a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 200 horsepower, a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 308 horsepower, and a 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder that makes 181 horsepower. The 2.5-liter is available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, while the 3.6-liter is available with an eight-speed automatic. The diesel is available with a six-speed automatic. The Canyon is available as either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers range from 19 mpg city to 31 mpg highway, depending on engine and transmission configuration.Available trim levels include base, SLE, SLT, and Denali. Available features include locking tailgate, remote start, heated front seats, USB, in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, 8-inch touchscreen, and navigation.Available safety features include stability control, rear-view camera, forward-collision alert, lane-departure warning, and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
