Hyundai Genesis

2016 HYUNDAI GENESIS:  For 2016, the Hyundai Genesis four-door Sedan and two-door Coupe wear fluidic sculpture design; receives additional standard equipment and available options.  The Genesis 3.8 rear-wheel and 3.8 all-wheel drive Sedans come with a 311-horsepower 3.8-liter V-6. The upscale Genesis 5.0 sedan packs a 420-hp 5.0L V-8. All Sedan engines come linked with eight-speed automatic transmissions that include ergonomically-placed paddle shifters. Under the hood of all Genesis Coupes is the sophisticated 3.8L Lambda DOHC V-6 engine that produces 348-hp and peak torque of 295 lb-ft. to the rear-wheel drive. The V-6 is mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox or available eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shifters for manual-shifting capability. Whichever transmission, the Coupe rockets from 0-to-60 mph in the lower five-second range, and tops off at a 149-mph electronically-limited top speed. For 2016, the trim levels for the Coupe include the Genesis Coupe 3.8 Base, 3.8 R-Spec and 3.8 Ultimate. Bringing all Genesis models to a halt are large four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and electronic brake distribution. The Genesis engages a suite of active driver safety technologies from driver alertness and focus to total occupant safety. The features offered are automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert and more to supplement the attentive driving. As an added bonus, 2016 Genesis owners will no longer need to remember to remote start their car on a hot or cold day. The Genesis intelligent assistant app will remind them via their smartphone. Genesis also offers an electronic parking brake with automatic vehicle hold for convenience when driving in traffic, and includes proximity-key entry convenience with push-button start as standard equipment. Hyundai interior design principles continue to be safety, intuitiveness and simplicity. Within the roomy, comfortable five-passenger cabin, all surfaces have the look and feel of high-grade materials such as leather, genuine aluminum and matte-finish wood.  The Coupe provides 10.0-cu. ft. of space in the tailored trunk, while the sedan increases the cargo room up to 15.3-cu.ft. for all the family gear.
