Volkswagen Tiguan LWB: The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan[D1] long-wheelbase edition made its debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.The updated 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan compact crossover boasts new styling, fresh interior and a longer wheelbase that gives it a boost in length of over 10 inches. Also new are additional driver-assistance features, a customizable instrument panel and convenience features and, for the first time, the availability of third-row seating. The Tiguan will compete against five-seat compacts like the Chevrolet Equinox and Ford Escape as well as three-row SUVs like the Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota Highlander.The Tiguan will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 184 horsepower and mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Tiguan will be available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.Significant available features will include panoramic moonroof, power liftgate, digital cockpit display, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, and premium audio.Available safety features will include front assist with pedestrian monitoring, blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, rear-view camera, and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is expected to go on sale this summer.
