Subaru Legacy: The refreshed 2018 Subaru Legacy made its world debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. The front- and rear-end styling is updated, the interior is redesigned with the addition of higher-quality materials, the ride is smoother, exterior noise has been reduced, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, responsive LED headlamps are now available and more multimedia capability is offered.The Legacy is the brand's entrant in the mid-size class, competing in a crowded segment against vehicles like the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, and Toyota Camry. The Legacy also provides the base for the Outback wagon, which is covered separately.Two engines are offered on the Legacy: A 2.5-liter horizontally-opposed four-cylinder that makes 175 horsepower and a 3.6-liter horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine that makes 256 horsepower. Both pair with a continuously-variable automatic transmission. The Legacy is all-wheel drive.The Legacy is offered in 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Sport, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited trims. Available features include power moonroof, Pandora internet streaming radio, Bluetooth, satellite radio, USB, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto multimedia suite and navigation.Available safety features include reverse automatic braking, blind-spot detection, lane-depature warning, pre-collision braking, and dual-front, front-side, front-seat-cushion, and side-curtain airbags.
