2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C: The 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT C is a coupe and convertible version of the AMG GT high-end two-door sports car. It joins the AMG GT S and AMG GT R in the overall GT lineup. The AMG GT C will compete against the Audi R8, Nissan GT-R, and Porsche 911. A 50th anniversary model is available - all GT C coupe models will initially be 50th anniversary versions.The GT C offers performance upgrades over other GT models, such as wider wheels and an upgraded exhaust. The sole engine is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 550 horsepower. The AMG GT C is rear-wheel drive and the engine pairs to a seven-speed automatic transmission.Available features include performance steering wheel, premium audio, carbon-fiber exterior enhancements, leather trim, a smartphone app that measures on-track performance, and cooled seats.Significant available safety features include stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and dual-front airbags.The GT C roadster should arrive in the U.S. by fall 2017. No launch date for the GT C was available, but it would likely also arrive this fall.
