2018 Ford F-150: Three years after first introducing an all-new aluminum-alloy-bodied F-150, Ford is giving the nation's bestselling pickup a substantial refresh with new front and rear styling, advanced technologies - including available pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection - and improved engines. F-150 competitors include Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500, and Toyota Tundra.The 2018 F-150 introduces an all-new, standard 3.3-liter V6 engine that makes 282 horsepower and a 3.0-liter turbo diesel. Returning are a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and 5.0-liter V6. Available on all but the base engine is a segment-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission. Ford has also added automatic start/stop as standard equipment across all models and engines.Available features will include Ford's Sync 3 multimedia and infotainment systems, adaptive cruise control, premium audio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and in-truck Wi-Fi hotspot. Safety features will include 360-degree camera, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring.The new 2018 F-150 goes on sale this fall. It will be built at Dearborn Truck Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.
