2018 Chevrolet Traverse: The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is a large mid-size crossover SUV that seats up to eight passengers and competes with the Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and new Volkswagen Atlas. For 2018, Traverse is completely redesigned with fresh styling, new interior, and additional safety and convenience features.Most Traverse models will get a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower. Available only on Traverse RS will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 255 horsepower. Both pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission and will be offered with either front- or all-wheel drive.Available features will include leather seats, power-fold third-row seats, USB ports in all three rows, infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging. Safety features will include 360-degree camera, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, front-pedestrian braking, forward-collision warning, low- and high-speed forward automatic braking, and teen-driver monitoring.When it goes on sale this fall, the 2018 Traverse will be the fourth updated crossover or SUV from Chevrolet within a year, joining the Trax, Bolt EV, and 2018 Equinox.
