2017 Chevrolet Silverado: The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado is Chevy's entrant into the full-size pickup truck class, and it competes with the Ford F-150, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra. It's mechanically similar to the GMC Sierra. The Silverado adds a few new tech versions for 2017. An eAssist hybrid version is also available.The Silverado offers up three engine choices: A 4.3-liter V6 that makes 285 horsepower, a 5.3-liter V8 that makes 355 horsepower (both with gas power and with the hybrid setup) and a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower. Six- and eight-speed automatic transmissions are available. The Silverado is offered in two-wheel or four-wheel drive layouts, and there are three bed sizes to choose from. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 15 mpg city to 24 mpg highway.There are three cab sizes offered: Regular, Double or Crew. Trim levels include WT, LS, Custom, LT, LTZ and High Country. Significant available features include 4G LTE in-car wireless hotspot, teen-driver monitoring program, capless fuel filler, 8-inch touchscreen and navigation.Available safety features include rear-view camera, stability control, rollover mitigation technology, trailer-sway control, hill-start assist, forward-collision alert, lane-keep assist, front- and rear-park assist, low-speed forward automatic braking and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
