Kia Forte
2016 KIA FORTE: A popular model in the Kia lineup at the Chicago Auto Show is the 2016 Forte four-door sedan, available in LX and EX trim levels with two engine options. The standard engine in the LX is the efficient 148-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder that is mated to a standard six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The EX comes equipped with a 2.0L engine that produces 173-hp through a six-speed automatic. Both engines route power through the front wheels. New for 2016, the optional Popular Plus Package adds cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels and a rear camera display. Other options include cruise control, tweeter speakers, and upgraded cloth seats, sliding front armrest, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors, Led turn signal indicators, front passenger seat back pocket, and illuminated ignition. The 2016 Kia Forte sits on a longer chassis and is wider and lower than the previous-generation. The LX model comes standard with steering wheel-mounted audio controls1, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth wireless technology, power windows, air conditioning and power heated outside. Forte FlexSteer, standard on the EX trim, puts the driver in control with settings for Comfort, Normal, and Sport, which vary steering effort at the touch of a button. There is an Eco Package that adds Idle Stop & Go system, dual-zone automatic temperature control with rear seat ventilation and unique "eco" badge. New exterior colors add Clear White, Silky Silver, Steel Blue and Crimson Red to the paint palette. A tailored cargo area provides up to 14.9 cu. ft. of room for work and play gear, and standard this year is a keyless entry with remote trunk release.
