Dodge Journey

2016 DODGE JOURNEY: Dodge bills its 2016 Journey midsize sport-utility model as America's most affordable and versatile crossover with optional seating for seven. For 2016, the Journey lineup is simplified from seven to five models: SE, SXT, Crossroad, Crossroad Plus and R/T. Buyers have a choice of four or six-cylinder engines, five or seven-passenger seating, and front or all-wheel drive. A 2.4-liter four cylinder with 173-horsepower comes linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and is standard on the AVP, SE and SXT trim levels. Optional on the SXT and standard on Limited and R/T models is the 3.6L V-6 that develops 283-hp. It comes mated to a smooth shifting six-speed automatic gearbox. Building on sales records momentum, the '16 Journey is offered in six distinctive trim levels including AVP, SE, SXT, Crossroad, Limited and R/T. The Crossover, for example, features distinctive front and rear fascias with Platinum Chrome accents, Platinum Chrome side sills, Platinum Chrome roof rails and unique 19-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels. The interior adds standard leather seating with sport mesh inserts, Liquid Graphite appliques, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen and a power driver's seat and passenger fold flat seat with in-seat storage. New exterior colors available this year include Jazz Blue Pearl and Olive Green. Also new, an available SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link now come with five years of free service. Visually, the Journey's bold "ring of fire" LED taillights and choice of unique wheels provide a dramatic styling statement. The AVP, SE, and SXT models come standard with new 17-inch wheels while 19-inch alloy wheels adorn the Limited and R/T. This family mover offers five- or seven-passenger premium cabins, with soft-touch materials, throughout. When the second and optional third-row seats are folded flat, there is a respectable 67.6 cu. ft. of cargo space. Also offered is front-passenger "Flip-N-Stow" in-seat storage, Uconnect Touch radio with 8.4-inch touchscreen, and standard, keyless "Enter-N-Go" with push button start.
