2016 DODGE CHALLENGER: The 2016 Dodge Challenger sporty coupe offers the greatest model variants ever, with a total of 10 trim levels. The list includes SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus, R/T Plus Shaker, R/T Scat Pack, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker, SRT 392 and the SRT Hellcat. Improved performance is offered from a trio of power plants, starting with the robust 305-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that provides up to 30 mph highway and blasts from 0-to-60 mph in six seconds. The 5.7-Hemi V-8 generates a strong 375-hp and for those craving more raw power, the 6.4-liter Hemi pumps out 485-hp and 475-lb.ft. of torque to the rear wheels. Both V-8 engines use Fuel Saver Technology that deactivates four cylinders when eight are not needed. The ultimate powerplant is the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V-8 with 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. torque (six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic). New for 2016 is the segment-first and segment-exclusive TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission delivers up to an 11 percent improvement in fuel economy, compared with the outgoing gearbox. Significant fresh technology upgrades add all-new Uconnect Access system with standard touchscreen, standard new seven-inch multi-view TFT gauge cluster, new performance electronic shifter, and keyless Enter 'n Go with push-button start. A class-exclusive 8.4-inch touchscreen media center with Uconnect Access system is offered, with class-exclusive full-color, 7-inch driver information display cluster.
