2016 BMW 2 SERIES: The successor to the successful BMW 1 Series sub-compact coupe is the 2016 BMW 2 Series, with even more eye-catching styling than before. A four-cylinder 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 240 horsepower is standard, with an available inline six-cylinder engine developing 322-hp, in the M235i. Both models come standard with an eight-speed sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters, which uses ultra-fast gear changes to underline the dynamic character of the Coupes. The 2 Series Coupe continues BMW design elements, including the three-box body with clearly defined trunk and low-slung silhouette, a long hood, doors with frameless windows and a dynamically stretched roofline flowing smoothly into the tail. With this in mind, the 2014 2 series is offered as coupes in 228i and M235i series. The 2 Series is significantly larger than its predecessor in headroom in the front seats, rear-seat legroom, and access space through to the rear is larger.
