Lincoln MKS

2015 LINCOLN MKS: Moving into the 2015 model year, the Lincoln MKS continues as the brand’s flagship full-size luxury sedan, with styling refinements and an improve steering response. Visually, the slats in the signature Lincoln split-wing grille adds more depth; the cutline of the hood opening sits below the Lincoln Star, and added lines give the hood a smooth, uninterrupted flow. New exterior colors are Ingot Silver Metallic, Dark Side Metallic and Platinum Dune Tri-Coat. Standard this year is the segment-exclusive Continuously Controlled Damping, which along with Drive Control, allows the MKS to handle better than ever. Also standard is stability and traction control, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors, as well as MyKey that allows owners to set driving parameters for younger drivers. Standard engine is a 3.7 liter V-6 with sequential multiport electronic injection that produces a healthy 304 horsepower, and can be ordered with front-wheel or all-wheel drive arrangement. The EcoBoost model is equipped with a very spirited twin-turbo 3.5L V-6 that delivers a muscular 365hp and comes exclusively with all-wheel drive. The only major stand-alone options for the EcoBoost edition are 20-inch wheels and a dual-panel sunroof. Each powerplant is mated to specific six-speed automatic transmissions that include steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. Lincoln states that while the MKS is serviceable as a highway cruiser, it's definitely not a sport sedan. Refined five-passenger interior features rich color schemes complementing new premium materials and genuine stitching, and an instrument panel that houses MyLincoln Touch.  A heated steering wheel is a welcome option, as are Prussian burl and brown swirl walnut woods. The tailored truck space offers a respectable 19.2 cu. ft. of room for groceries or luggage. Hi-tech items include Collision warning; Lane Keeping Alert and Lane Keeping Aid technologies that help warn drivers of potentially dangerous situations and can assist them to avoid common accidents. Expanded SYNC functionality contains standard Operator Assist and local Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities for laptops and tablets.
